Former
actress and now talent manager Annabelle Rama cannot help but react on the fact
that ABS CBN’s Gabby Lopez was asked by a lawmaker to recite the first line of
“Panatang Makabayan.”
During the House
committee on legislative franchises and the committee on good government and
public accountability, Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta grilled Lopez on his
allegiance to the Philippines and the United States.
The talent
manager also said that she did not understand the point of asking Lopez to
recite the first line of “Panatang Makabayan.”
“Ako isang
Pinoy na Bisaya. Hindi ko alam ang sinasabi ni dong Makuleta. Panatang Makabayan
bakit kailangan sa hearing yan?” she said.
Rama
claimed that the questioning of Marcoleta is just his “delaying tactic” for him
to have a longer exposure on television.
“Pwede ba
lahat ng Congressman na walang alam sa itatanong tumahimik nalang or magtanong
muna sa lawyer bago pumunta sa Congress, (Can all the Congressmen who don’t
know what they are asking stay quiet or ask their lawyers before going to the
Congress?)” Rama said
“Nakakahiya
at nakakabwisit manuod ng hearing. Dong Marcoleta delaying tactics ang ginagawa
mo – lahat kayo gusto lang ma starring sa TV (It is shameful and frustrating to
watch the hearing. Dong Marcoleta what you are doing is delaying tactics — you
all want to star on TV)!” she added
Rama even boosted
other people to know who they should vote for in the next election.
“Malapit na
election alam nyo na kung sino ang iboboto nyo. Nakakatawa kayo Ha ha
ha..bwesssssit!” the celebrity manager said
Meanwhile, Lopez
said in the same hearing that he had no allegiance with the US.
