Embattled Kapamilya network has condemned the shooting incident involving actress Kim Chu together with her staff and driver on Wednesday morning.

“ABS-CBN condemns the shooting incident this morning involving the vehicle carrying its artist Kim Chiu, her personal assistant, and her driver in Quezon City,” the media giant said in a statement following the incident

“The network is relieved that none of them got hurt and is taking measures to ensure their safety. Our priority now is attending to their needs as they cope with this traumatic experience,” it added

ABS CBN was also grateful for the quick response of the authorities and securing the actress as well as her companions.

The network also assured the actress that they will be monitoring the investigation to ensure justice will be brought for Kim.

“We are currently working closely with the authorities who are investigating the incident in the hope that the perpetrators will be brought to justice." ABS CBN said

According to the police report based on the statement of Kim’s driver, Wilfred Taberla, said two suspects on board a motorcycle fired six gunshots at their vehicle along Katipunan Avenue corner C.P. Garcia Avenue at around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The actress, though, after the terrifying ordeal went straight to her scheduled taping but later gave her statement.

"I saw this bullet on the windshield where my head is laying. (I was thinking) 'Buti nakahiga ako.' Pano kung tinuloy ko magbasa ng script?... I was so scared, I don't know what to feel right now," she said.

"I don't have an idea what really happened, mistaken identity? I guess?? Napag tripan? Wala naman akong kaaway or ka atraso," the Kapamilya actress also said

"Sana tininignan nyo muna ang plate number bago nyo paulanan ng bala yung kotse ko." She added

Kim’s driver said the two suspects were wearing black helmets and jackets, they fled towards Katipunan Avenue after the incident.
