Manila, Philippines - The former rebel soldier turned Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, recently posted that he is fed up and disgusted with President Duterte apparently taking credits for the passage of key legislations.

Trillanes recently  posted in his Facebook, calling the attention of the President for his “new lies,” saying the President simply signed the bills, such as free college tuition, universal health care law, national feeding program, and free irrigation law that were authored by some senators.

“During the past few months, Duterte has been spreading new lies about his ‘fulfilled’ campaign promises. Now, before these lies take root again (just like his ridiculous lie that he made Davao City the 4th SAFEST city in the WORLD), allow me to set the record straight,” he added.
According to the Senator, the Free College Tuition Law was the primary proposal of Sen. Bam Aquino which he championed during the 17th Congress.
Another Law which advocated by Senators Jv Ejercito and Risa Hontiveros, the so called Universal Healthcare Law was also pushed to passage during the 17th Congress as well.
While Sen. Cynthia Villar and Sen. Ping Lacson were behind the advocacy of Free Irrigation Initiative at the same time Senator Grace Poe recommended for National Feeding Program for Poor Children.
“Duterte has nothing to do with the passage of these laws except to sign the enrolled bills,” Trillanes said.

“Bago ka mag-grab ng credit, Mr. Duterte, tutukan mo muna ang mga tunay na pinangako mo nung 2016 na kampanya na tatanggalin mo ang crime, corruption at illegal drugs in 3 to 6 months kundi magreresign ka,” he added.
“Please share and help enlighten our countrymen.”

  1. For your information MR. Trillanes, the feeding program of sen POE and all other senators you mentioned were just a reiteration on the laws by PRESIDENT MARCOS. PD NO. 491 - PHIL LAW & CODES creating NATIONAL NUTRITION dated June 25, 1974. Such as the GREEN REVOLUTION, MASAGANA 99, PALAYAN NG BAYAN, MASAGANANG MAISAN and others which aimed to providing for food sufficiency. PFE Marcos Executive Order 285 series of 1971 vested in the National Food and Agriculture Council the responsibility to coordinate all Nutrition Program in the Country. Again It was Sen BONGBONG MARCOS who passed a Bill propossed FREE COLLEGE EDUCATION in all State Colleges/Universities with Senate BILL 3106 (Public School Teacher Salary Upgrading Act) Salary Grade 11 with Php 18k/month to Salary Grade 15 with 25k/month and SENATE BILL 2188(Conversion of State Universities & Colleges Act of 2010) It was Bongbong Marcos who also support the numerous efforts for the improvement and expansion of educational program including massive SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMs that he implemented as Gov of Ilocos Norte.

  2. Try to read back all laws by former Pres Marcos and what former Mayor and now Pres Duterte have stated during his campaign period way back 2016, they have almost the same makatao style that they both want the poor to be uplifted in life and want the Philippines to be developed that he Pres Duterte was firmed on all hiss promises to have free education, irrigation and etc, so ano ang sinasabi mo trillanes na siya ay credit grabber kundi kayo mga taga LP ang tunay na credit grabbers at manlilinlang na walang pakialam sa mga pilipino kahit maadik lahat ang pobre basta kayong politiko ng LP ay payaman ng payaman pati basura pa import ninyo at baka nga may mamahalin na palaman kunwari lang ay mga tae sa dayaper pero front lang mga ugok
