Presidential sister Jocellyn Duterte – Villarica has slammed
Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez over her squabble involving Ben Tulfo.
On her Facebook post, the very supportive sister of
President Rodrigo Duterte asked the singer about what has she done for Mother
Earth.
“Regien V, wat hav u done for Mother Earth? Plant a tree? Have
a garden? Support environmental group?.. or Politika?!”, Duterte-Villarica
wrote.
The presidential sister is known as an outspoken person,
just like the President himself.
She is one of the four siblings of the Chief Executive,
alongside Eleonor, Emmanuel, and Benjamin.
Few days ago, Tulfo lashed out at Velasquez after she
criticized Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr for his comments on Chinese
fishermen's illegal harvest of endangered giant clams in the West Philippine
Sea (WPS).
The TV and radio personality berated the Songbird as he
questioned her decision to speak out on the issue.
"Mas maganda siguro 'no ‘pag may nagsalita, an
expert in the field. ‘Pag ikaw kasi nandiyan na sinasabi na – entertainer ka
lang, world of entertainment, ang trabaho mo ay magbigay ng aliw sa pamamagitan
ng pagkanta. Para kang pipit – ‘yung songbird kung tawagin,"
Tulfo said in Facebook Live video
"Ang mensahe ko sa iyo, Regine Velasquez, the next
time you open your mouth, think. Make sure na may laman ang utak mo. Make sure
alam mo ‘yung isyu and you can talk about it. Hindi mo ito balwarte. 'Yung
kaalaman mo, itago mo na lang," he said.
