Residents from Koronadal may now avail of government medical assistance at SPMC, Davao City

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio announced to residents of Davao that they can now avail of medical assistance from the national government through Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC).

The presidential daughter, graced the city’s 78th foundation anniversary celebration last Wednesday.

She said that the office of President Rodrigo Duterte had put up an assistance facility at the said hospital for the residents from some parts of Mindanao region.

“PRD (President Rodrigo Duterte) has allocated funds for financial assistance to patients from different parts of Mindanao who are admitted at the SPMC,” Mayor Inday Sara said, citing the message from the president.

The mayor noted that there are many patients coming from areas outside of Davao city, which includes those from region 12, seeking for treatment at the SMPC.

She said that patients only need to approach the program’s in person-in-charge assigned at the hospital for assistance.

Mayor Inday cited that the president remains focused on addressing the concerns and needs of the people, especially, those who are in need.

He also commended the residents and local officials of Davao city for their continued support to the president and the different initiatives of the national government.

“Rest assured that he will do everything in his power to realize the changes that he promised when he ran for President,” she said.

On her visit, after a brief dialogue with selected students, she also distributed bags and school supplies.

She also clarified that her attendance to the event was mainly to deliver the message of President Duterte regarding the health care program for Mindanaoans and advocacy on poverty reduction, and “not for running sa Senate.”


Duterte-Carpio reiterated that she is not interested in seeking a seat at the Senate.
