Manila, Philippines – Reelectionist Senator Bam Aquino of
Otso Diretso has reportedly lost in the town named after his uncle, former
Senator Ninoy Aquino in Sultan Kudarat Province.
The cousin of former President Noynoy Aquino falls on 16th
place and only obtained 3,772 votes from the town’s partial and unofficial
results.
Meanwhile, former presidential aide Christopher Bong Go was
on the third spot and garnered 7,221 total votes.
Ronald dela Rosa, the one who carried out the start of the
President’s fight against illegal drugs got 5,887 total votes.
As for national voting, partial and unofficial results as of
this writing, Aquino fall on the 14th place with 13, 637,882 votes.
Though no one from Otso Diretso made it to winning circle,
their campaign manager Senator Francis Pangilinan is not giving up on the
opposition’s senatorial bets.
“Kapit lang. No retreat. Never surrender,” he tweeted, after
administration senatorial candidates dominated the partial and unofficial
results of the elections.
