Manila, Philippines – One of the biggest Catholic
charismatic groups El Shaddai has declared support for 14 senatorial candidates this upcoming midterm election.
The announcement was made by El Shaddai on Saturday and was
dominated by candidates from Hugpong ng Pagbabago, with a few names under
independent and opposition bets.
Endorsed candidates by El Shaddai are the following:
– Senator Cynthia Villar
– Senator Grace Poe
– Senator Koko Pimentel
– Senator JV Ejercito
– Senator Nancy Binay
– Senator Sonny Angara
– Senator Bam Aquino
– Former Special Assistant to the President Bong Go
– Former Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Francis
Tolentino
– Former Philippine National Police chief Ronald “Bato” Dela
Rosa
– Former Senator Bong Revilla
– Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada
– Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos
– Dr. Willie Ong
According to a report by ABS CBN, Bro. Mike Velarde, the
group’s leader said that the candidates were selected because they had reach
out to El Shaddai even when it was not election season.
