Actor Robin Padilla has something to say about Cavite Governor Junvic Remulla's appeal to President Duterte to include the middle class in the government's Social Amelioration Program.

Gov. Remulla wrote an open letter to the President last Sunday saying,

“As governor, I am respectfully asking that you consider them to be part of the social amelioration program. They may not get as much as the poorest of the poor but please consider their welfare. They are often over looked. They pay the most taxes. They keep our economy alive. They are mostly law abiding citizens. They need a break,”

However, Padilla a known supporter of the President, refuted Remulla's appeal saying, the poorest of the poor must come first when it comes to government aid.

In his Instagram post, that already reached 1.2 million followers, Padilla aired his sentiments over Remulla's plea to the president. The actor said,

He added that the relief assistance given to middle class families, comes in the form of suspension of the payment of taxes, utilities, and rents.

Padilla said the poorest of the poor must come first when it comes to government aid because they are more vulnerable, they need more help and protection from coronavirus outbreak.

The actor told Remulla, once the outbreak is over, the President will focus again on the oligarchs.

Padilla added that he wishes Remulla will continue supporting the President once everything goes back to normal.
