Manila, Philippines - Do you know why President Duterte does not trust Vice President Leni Robredo?

It is not because of the President doesn’t trust her, But because one of the biggest shabu laboratories in the Philippines were located in Bicol region, probably Robredo's hometown in Naga City, Camarines Sur, as claimed by the President.

The chief executive said  the claimed that one of the biggest shabu laboratories in the Philippines was located in Bicol region, as previous intel reports said.

President Rodrigo said in an interview with reporters “You know one of the biggest, ah, the biggest actually, drug manufacturing apparatus was in Bicol, sa Naga. But not ano I’m sure (about Naga) but in Bicol.”

Robredo acknowledged her hometown’s “big” drug problem right after being appointed co-chair of the Inter Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).

“Isa talaga yung drugs sa malalaking problema, lalo yung Naga [at] Legazpi kasi ito yung transshipment kasi, itong malalaking cities,” she said in an interview with GMA News,
Robredo is the better-half of the late Naga City mayor Jesse Robredo who was the Interior Secretary in the Aquino administration.
After months Duterte took office in July 2016, authorities raided the biggest shabu laboratory ever in the country in Virac, Catanduanes in a drug bust which yielded 22.5 kilos of meth and some 359 kilos of ephedrine.

The case was filed against Chinese national Xian Xian Wang, lawyer Augusto Eric Isidoro, former chief of the National Bureau of Investigation anti-illegal drugs unit, and caretakers Pido Bonito,
Paolo Uy, and Jayson Gonzales Uy.

Duterte banned Robredo from attending Cabinet meeting because he feared she could use classified documents for her vested interests.

“I cannot trust her not only because she is with the opposition. I do not trust her because I do not know her,” President Duterte said.
