Senator Bong Go, one proud father of a CPA topnotcher son, "Nagkataon na pareho kaming top 3..."

The results of the 2019 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination has been officially released on October 21, Monday. 

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go's son was among the passers of the 2019 CPA Licensure Exam.


Go on Tuesday, was so proud to announced that his son, Christian Lawrence Go, placed 3rd on the October 2019 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination.

His son, Christian Lawrence "Chrence" Go had a rating of 89.50% in the board exam. 

Charebce graduated at the De La Salle University - Manila, ranked third of 2,075 who passed out of 14,492 who took the CPA board exam.


"I am very proud of my son. Hindi ko mailarawan ang kaligayahang nadadama ko ngayon (I cannot describe the joy I feel right now)," he said through a statement while in Japan with President Rodrigo Duterte.

The senator also shared that he and his son now had something in common as he also secured the third spot in the May 2019 senatorial election.

"Nagkataon na pareho kaming top 3--- ako noong nakaraang halalan at siya ngayon naman sa CPA licensure exams” he said.


The senator also appreciated his son's efforts and sacrifices  while in school and wished him to be more success in his endeavors.

"Bilang isang ama, wala akong ibang hinahangad kundi makitang matagumpay ang aking mga anak (As a father, I have no other wish but to see my children succeed). I’m also happy that we now have a new roster of certified public accountants," he said.

The senator also congratulated all the CPA board passers and told them to practice their new profession conscientiously.


Sen. Bong Go who served as the long-time aide of President Rodrigo Duterte and served as the former Special Assistant to the President for more than 21 years. 

After being elected as Senator, Go still assists Duterte as his aide and as his own personal political advisor in most of Duterte's activities but not as usual as before due to Go's legislation job in the Senate
