Raffy Tulfo condemns brother's action against DSWD Secretary Bautista, ‘Maling-mali ka doon, ‘tol..."

Manila, Philippines - Seasoned broadcast-journalist Raffy Tulfo has finally made a statement concerning the very sensational tirade of his brother Erwin against DSWD Chief Rolando Bautista.

Just few days ago, the latter lambasted Bautista, a retired Army chief, for rejecting to give an interview on his radio show, “Tutok Tulfo,” over the state-run dzRB regarding the recently signed Magna Carta for the Poor.

He even disregarded the DSWD Chief as a former General and Army Chief without considering the consequences of doing so.

This made him broke his silence over and reprimand his brother’s action against Secretary Bautista, who belongs to Philippine Military Academy Sandiwa Class of 1985.  Who was also the overall ground commander when terrorists attacked Marawi City in 2017.

Raffy explained the character of his brother Erwin, as someone who is a kindhearted man and is always willing to lend a helping hand to those who are in need of assistance.

 The veteran journalist also emphasized that he and Erwin are very close to each other and he is the reason why he has programs in TV5.

In spite of this, Raffy declared that he did not agree with what his brother did to Secretary Bautista and that he must to issue another apology.

He also admitted that the first apology Erwin made was quite superficial and he would likely to hear his wholehearted apology to the Social Welfare Secretary.

“That was very, very wrong… It was below the belt. Tinawagan ko siya this weekend, sinabi ko sa kaniya, ‘Erwin, no amount of explanation can justify that action. Maling-mali ka doon, ‘tol…’

“If I were you, kasi napakinggan ko yung interview mo na nagbigay ka ng apology, medyo hilaw yun ‘tol. Kung pwede, humingi ka pa ng another public apology, this time magpakita ka ng sincerity para makita talaga nila na nagpapakumbaba ka…”

“Ginawa ni Erwin yan kanina [sa interview], nag-apologize siya just like what I asked him to do… Nagpakumbaba siya. And for that, sumasaludo ako sa kaniya…” Raffy said.

Raffy Tulfo is a Veteran broadcast-journalist whose works focuses on government and private sector issues, he has a radio show on Radyo5 92.3 News FM. His program focuses on helping the marginalized people in their battle against the red tapes of society.
