Vice President Leni Robredo on Tuesday urged the opposition
supporters to continue the fight despite the current standing of the Otso
Diretso bets in the senatorial race.
“Pagod man tayong lahatsa kampanya at sa mahabang araw
kahapon, sulit ang lahat dahil pinanindigan nating ang ating mga prinsipyo at
paniniwala.” Robredo said in a Facebook post
“May laban pa tayong hinaharap. Hindi pa tapos ang bilangan,
at kailangan pang bantayan,” she said
Out of the Otso Diretso slate, only reelectionist Bam Aquino
was fighting it out for the 12th and last winning slot with 94 percent of votes
tallied, based on the voting results.
She also commended the candidates and volunteers for showing
dedication as they push forward.
"Ipinamalas ng ating mga kandidato at volunteers ang
tapang at dedikasyon sa ating adhikain. Huwag natin ito bitawan. Paghugutan
natin ng lakas ang bawat isa," she said.
“Marami pa tayong kailangan gawin at marami pa tayong magagawa.
Hanggang sa huli, sama-sama tayo sa laban na ito.” She added
The partial and unofficial results show that the administration’s
candidates dominated in the top 12.
