Actress Kris Aquino has received criticisms after her comment on Mariel Padilla’s post about her experience when she attended the thanks giving dinner at Malacañang last Tuesday.

In her Instagram post, Mariel shared some photos taken during the event, captioned with a lengthy narration of what happened during the event, saying how touched she was of the President’s gesture.

In the comment section of that post, Kris Aquino aired her unsolicited thoughts regarding the statements of the “It’s Showtime” host.

Kris apologized to Mariel for not inviting her in the past for a “proper” thanksgiving celebration.

The younger sister of former President Noynoy Aquino also shared a story about how many times she violated the rules in Malacañang when it comes to proper attire.

“Hi Ma… it’s those human gestures of saying THANK YOU that matter… Nahiya ako that hindi ka na invite for a proper thank you celebration (I am keeping my fingers crossed at some point you did receive flowers?) On a side note- may funny kwento ako- there was a lunch for an ASEAN head of state- and invitation said business attire.

Napagalitan ako because I think I wore a skin baring outfit- nasabihan ako na, “didn’t you read na “business attire”? I said yes, in our industry ito ang business attire. So don’t sweat it- I broke that sleeveless rule countless times- nag backless, nag halter, nag plunging.” She wrote
