Manila, Philippines – Special Assistant to the President Christopher
“Bong” GO has shared a photo of the president giving a talk to police and fire
officers.
On Wednesday, President Rodrigo Duterte gave a “lecture” to police
and fire officers, following the misfortune happened to NCCC Mall in Davao and
the failed police pursuit in Mandaluyong City.
Go said in his post that the president gave the firefighters
a lecture regarding the “911 emergency responses”.
The Chief Executive, on the other hand, delivered a small
talk to police officers, but no further details were disclosed.
President Duterte was joined by Interior Undersecretary
Eduardo Año, other high-ranking officials from the Bureau of Fire and
Protection, Davao City police, and the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol
Group (PNP-HPG).
The police and fire agencies were gathered after the two
incidents which exposed the weaknesses in government agencies when it comes to
response capabilities.
Just two days before Christmas, NCCC shopping mall in Davao
city was hit by massive fire blaze which killed 38 persons.
On December 28, two people were killed when policemen fired
at a wrong vehicle in Mandaluyong city.
