Malacañang also confirms that the said case will be fully investigated.

"It's also proper that policemen involved have been disarmed and their movements restricted," Spokesman Harry Roque said.

Philippine National Police Director Oscar Abayalde held a press conference about the incident on Friday, he also had a closed-door meeting at Mandaluyong police headquarters.

Van passenger killed

Two people were killed on Thursday night in a shootout incident along Shaw Boulevard.

The police officers fired at a White Mitsubishi Adventure that was reportedly carrying the gunman of a prior incident in Addition hills, Mandaluyong.

Later on, they found out that the white vehicle’s passengers were helping Joan Ambaan, the one who was shot and were rushing her to a hospital.

The village tanod thought they were involved in the shooting and relayed the information to the police.

"Allegedly habang hinahabol, nagpapaputok rin yung mga barangay tanod. So na-alarm yung mga pulis natin, nag-conduct kami ng dragnet operation para ma-corner ang suspect, not knowing na hindi pala ito ang sasakyan ng suspect," Villaceran detailed the incident.

Ambaan later on died in the hospital, one of the passengers, Jomar Hayun was also killed in the incident.

Meanwhile, other passengers namely; Ruel Distor, Simeon Lumbao and Mhury Jomar were hurt in the shooting.
