President Rodrigo Duterte should not be the only one bragging about this latest survey from an international organization, but also us, Filipinos for being compared to superpower countries in terms of stringent measures to tackle the coronavirus outbreak.
In one study conducted by the Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Stringency Index, the Philippines is among those countries with the most rigorous lockdown program in the world.
Our government's enhanced community quarantine is being compared to the COVID-19 response of these superpowers like Russia and China.
This is something to flaunt about when President Duterte meets up with his allies Russia President Vladimir Putin and China President Xi Jinping.
Based on the latest ranking of government responses to the coronavirus from March 20 to May 18, the Philippines was first with a score of 95, which is a notch higher than Russia’s 93 and way ahead of mainland China’s 64.
While, Taiwan has the lowest score and the least rigid with 29. Higher scores indicate more or stricter policies on social distancing and travel controls.

The University of Oxford was developed by government response tracker and with collaboration with Blavatnik School of Government has a weighted score of nine indicators:

2) Workplace closure
3) Cancellation of public events
4) Restriction on gathering size
5) Public transport closure
6) Stay-at-home requirements
7) Restrictions on domestic/internal movement
8) Restrictions on international travel
9) Public information campaign
This is the ranking of the top 10 most stringent governments in the world as of most 18 are as follows:
