Hollywood actress Margot Robbie, a.k.a 'Harley Quinn' on her PH experience: 'My favorite country I travelled to'

Australian actress and film producer Margot Robbie talks about her role in her upcoming movie as Harley Quinn aka Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel in "Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn)." 

Birds of Prey is the sequel to 2016 film “Suicide Squad,” which Robbie starred and produced as well.

This time, Quinn has already broken up with Batman’s nemesis, Joker and became part of a gang of female supervillains to Gotham City’s villain Roman Sionis played by Ewan McGregor. *



During a sit down interview with Margot and the rest of the cast to promote their new film, she revealed how much she was enthralled with the scenic tourist spots of the Philippines. 

She also revealed that she spent an entire month backpacking with her friends touring the country and had such an awesome time.

The 29 year old actress added, that they island hopping for a month with her friends from the famous beaches of Boracay, Bacolod, Cebu, Coron, Palawan and many more.

She said that, she had been to the Philippines and was captivated by it, and that the Philippines has become her favorite country that she’s ever traveled in


In an interview by Rose Ecrinal of ABS-CBN, Margot said, “I love the Philippines! I went backpacking for a month in the Philippines with my friends. I love it there. It was a couple of years ago. It was amazing! Honestly, my favorite country I’ve ever traveled in.”

She continued how they moved around from one place to another to enjoy the country’s best places. *
“We did everything! We went to, obviously, we went to Boracay because obviously we have too. We went to Bacolod, Cebu, Palawan, Coron, a couple more places. We really moved around,” Margot added.

However, it was a couple of years ago and it is sad that she could no longer remember any Filipino words, Margot waved and said, “Mabuhay Philippines!” Encinal asked her if she still remembers any Filipino words.

In her new movie “Birds of Prey”, Harley Quin will be joined by Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), and the badass policewoman Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez). They also welcome the 13-year-old Fil-Am actress Ella Jay Basco, who stars as Cassandra “Cass” Cain.


Margot Robbie was the last brand ambassador chosen by Karl Lagerfeld before he passed away in February 2019. She later became the face of the company's fragrance Chanel Gabrielle Chanel Essence.  

She was ranked as one of the best dressed women in 2018 by fashion website Net-a-Porter and was ranked as one of the world's highest-paid actresses as of today.
