Manila, Philippines - There is no stopping Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson from his
campaign to remove pork barrel funds allegedly inserted in the proposed 2020 national
budget.
Sen. Lacson posted in his
Twitter, declaring that he was going all-in on the pork battle despite getting
attack from several members of the lower house.
“Dep Spkr LRay Villafuerte, Party-list Rep Mike
Defensor, and other House members can take turns in maligning me while
defending their pork but I’m still going all in. Patay kung patay! The
President’s P95B veto early this year is inspiring. It’s the people’s money
after all,” Sen. Lacson
twitted.
But
despite the agreed "ceasefire on the word war" between some members
of the Senate and the House over the issue, Lacson will continue scrutinizing
the 2020 national budget until pork barrel has been removed.
"First of all, a ceasefire
or not, I cannot stop exposing any form of abuse involving the national
budget," Lacson said in a statement Friday.
Lacson
earlier revealed that some congressmen would supposedly get P700 million in
allocations under the proposed P4.1-trillion budget for 2020.
These
made some members of the House offended by Lacson’s statement and demanded an
apology from the senator.
Among
them were Capiz Rep. Fred Castro, House Minority Leader Bienvenido Abante Jr.,
and Anak Kalusugan Party-list Rep. Mike Defensor.

I dont like Lacson. But on this one I surely agreed with him. Eto na naman kasi ang mga sugapang magnanakaw mandarambong na mga kongreskotong gustong magpalusot ng pork barrel. Na naman. Ayaw magsitigil kung ano anong palusot pa ang gawa. Magnanakaw talaga.
