Every household’s favorite primetime TV series, 'Ang Probinsyano' is once again in hot water, because of its recent episode.

Netizens bashed the said controversial episode where four female police officers in their uniform were being kidnapped, harassed and raped by members of crime syndicate led by “Alyas Bungo” played by Baron Geisler.

The Philippine National Police said they will be reviewing the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ABS-CBN officials regarding the latest episodes of Ang Probinsyano that they found "offensive".

PNP Deputy Spokesperson PLTCOL Kimberly Molitas said they will review their signed agreement with ABS-CBN. As stated in the MOU, the PNP will continue its support for the show by allowing them to use police uniforms and equipment, but with police supervision.

The police official said they will review their signed agreement and look for possible violations. And they may revoke the agreement if they found violations in the said agreement.

Col. Molitas said in a statement that the PNP and the Kapamilya series signed a memorandum a few months ago, regarding the proper portrayal of policemen after the teleserye aired episodes showing the bad portrayal of some uniformed personnel and high-ranking officials involved in illegal acts.

"We will talk to the Production Staff of ABS CBN and look at possible violation of our existing Memorandum of Understanding. Depending on the extent of the violation we may warn them or cancel the said MOU," Molitas said in a statement.

The producers and directors of “Ang Probinsyano” have not yet issued an official statement regarding the complaint.
