San Beda lawyer taunts Duterte critics: 'He was never prim and proper. We voted for Duterte not Miss Congeniality'

San Beda lawyer Bruce Rivera in a lenghty Facebook post said that people should no longer look at how the president speaks.

"Let me just say, if we nitpick on everything PRD says, let me be the bearer of bad news, it will not end anytime soon. He will shock and scandalize with stories of molestation, curse Jesus, and bad mouth everything that is sacred. " Rivera said


The lawyer pointed out that Duterte did not pretend to be someone else, even before he was elected as president.

"He has always been uncouth, crass, tactless, vulgar, rude, thuggish, unsophisticated, morbidly honest and sexual. He never presented a face that was opposite what he is now. " he said

"So when you suddenly become scandalized baffles me. We never voted for a prim and proper President. We voted for Duterte not Misa Congeniality." Rivera wrote

Let me just say, if we nitpick on everything PRD says, let me be the bearer of bad news, it will not end anytime soon. He will shock and scandalize with stories of molestation, curse Jesus, and bad mouth everything that is sacred. He will act like a DOM or street hoodlum. And you can be angry all you want. He likes it. He lives to taunt all of you.

But what can you do? He is not running for public office and he does not aspire to be popular anymore. You can disagree all you want with my explanation about his actions but it will not change Duterte.

He has always been uncouth, crass, tactless, vulgar, rude, thuggish, unsophisticated, morbidly honest and sexual. He never presented a face that was opposite what he is now. So, I am asking all those who criticize him for his rhetorics, you want him to suddenly behave because he is President?

Those who did not vote for him should understand, his supporters have learned to laugh at it. You hate him all you want but he is OUR President. Those who supported him who are saying he has gone too far, let me ask you honestly...when you supported him, did you actually believe he will censor himself? Because the last time I heard, he has always been that way and he warned us.

So when you suddenly become scandalized baffles me. We never voted for a prim and proper President. We voted for Duterte not Miss Congeniality.
