President Rodrigo Duterte started receiving well wishes on
the eve of his 73rd birthday.
Chinese President Xi Jinping was the first to send warm
greetings and sincere congratulations to
President Duterte among the world leaders on his special day.
In his congratulatory letter, President Xi noted the
“turnaround” of the China and Philippines relationship are “being further
consolidated and deepened.”
“Our bilateral relations have enjoyed ongoing betterment and
improvement and reaped productive outcomes, which brought tangible benefits to
our two peoples and promoted peace and stability of the region,” President Xi
said.
He also mentioned that his meeting with President Duterte on
“quite a few occasions” have reached
important consensus to deepen China-Philippine
relationship and “deepening practical cooperation, and set the course
for the future growth of our bilateral relations.”
“I attach great significance to the growth of
China-Philippines relations, and stand ready to work with you to carry forward
sustained and in-depth growth of China-Philippines relations and bring about
more benefits to our countries and peoples,” Xi said.
Meanwhile, SAP Go, wishes President Duterte to have “long
and healthy life” to further serve the nation, and to have more years to spend
with his family and loved ones.
“To my adviser, my mentor, and my boss, isang maligayang
kaarawan po sainyo!” Go said.

Andanar also expressed his sincere greetings to the president, wishing him more
blessings.
“A grateful people celebrate his seventy-third year and pray
that he be blessed for more,” Andanar said in a statement titled “Blessed be
the man.” Andanar said.
“We pray that our president be blessed with more years,
strong health and the wisdom of fine age,” he added.
Andanar lauded the president for his non-stop efforts to
fight illegal drugs, corruption, and crime in the country.
“Our Mayor-President,Rodrigo RoaDuterte, has set himself to
be the man for people, before whom his oath was pledged, and to whom he vowed
to make peace the bedrock platform for the country’s progress. His words arise
from the jugular: passionate, intense, committed, and focused. But first, he
