Akbayan Tom Villarin tells Panelo to resign over 'matrix lies': “Taxpayers should hold him accountable & demand his resignation!'

Akbayan Representative Tom Villarin said Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo should resign over the absurd claims and involving random people, even journalists into a destabilization plot.

He said, Panelo’s matrix was nothing but lies, thus, he should be held accountable.

“#SlyPanelo his ‘Matrix’ lies and temerity to be dismissive about it when confronted by truth speaks volume about the Duterte administration’s moral and legal standards of governance.” He said in a Twitter post

“Taxpayers should hold him accountable & demand his resignation! Truth matters anywhere at any time!” Villarin added

In a press conference earlier today, Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo said the president received validated intelligence information that shows the Liberal Party, the “yellows,” Magdalos and media outfits are conniving against the government.

Some political figures named by Panelo are opposition Senators Bam Aquino and Antonio Trillanes, and Duterte's 2016 rival Mar Roxas.

Panelo also cites active association between Ellen Tordesillas, former Spokesman Edwin Lacierda, Cocoy Dayao, CPP-NPA chair Joma Sison, Rodel Jayme, Bong Banal and Arman Pontejos.
