“Shinzo Abe, Japan’s longest-serving leader, resigns over health issues,” ani Hilbay sa kanyang Twitter post.

“By doing so, he recognizes that a leader’s health is tied to the nation’s well-being. Illness affects the leader’s judgment, market confidence, long-term planning, etc,” dagdag pa nito.

Pahayag pa ng dating kandidato ng otso deretso, “great example for others to follow.”

“I cannot be prime minister if I cannot make the best decisions for the people. I have decided to step down from my post,” pahayag ni Abe.

"I would like to sincerely apologise to the people of Japan for leaving my post with one year left in my term of office, and amid the coronavirus woes, while various policies are still in the process of being implemented," dagdag pa nito.
