Manila, Philippines —  In an interview with Bloomberg TV Tuesday (August 13), Vice President Leni Robredo said she is keeping her options open.

"If you ask me now, I have no plans, but I am leaving everything open,” Robredo said.

“I wouldn’t have ran for the vice presidency if I didn’t feel I was ready for the presidency.” She said in an interview with Bloomberg Television’s Haslinda Amin.

A lawyer by profession, and a fprmer congresswoman in 2013, a year after her husband, former interior secretary Jesse Robredo died in a plane crash.

The Vice President at present is facing an electoral protest filed by former senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the son of the former President Ferdinand Marcos.

She is currently holding the opposition’s top position as chairperson of the Liberal Party.

President Rodrigo Duterte once said he has dismissed the probability of Robredo succeeding him, saying the Vice President was “not capable” of running the country.

Meanwhile, Presidential daughter Sara Duterte announced that she might be running for president in 2022, and said that  she is praying for wisdom.

Sara is an incumbent Mayor of Davao City and has established her own political party, Hugpong ng Pagbabago.

“Siguro para hindi tayo magkamali, we should pray for wisdom on how to go about it and how to decide,” Sara said over Pastor Apollo Quiboloy's television show.

However, President Duterte has discouraged his daughter from running for the country's top post. He said the stress of the job is not worth the pay she will get.

“Everything is easier if it is the plan of God, so I think before I think about that, I should ask God first if is this for me,” she said.
