PRRD to rebels: "Maybe I can promise them that what they do to the Filipino, I will do it to them"

Manila, Philippines – On his speech during the 67th founding anniversary of the First Scout Ranger Regiment, President Rodrigo Duterte has warned the communist rebels and terrorist.

He reminded the government troops before him to embrace for possible attacks by rebels and the Maute terrorist groups.

The president said that he will do the same thing to the rebel and terrorist groups whatever harm they bring and inflict to the Filipino people.

“But I will never, never allow them to --- it's not in our system to allow them just to do their thing. Maybe I can promise them that what they do to the Filipino, I will do it to them.” President Duterte told the Scout Rangers before him last Friday in Bulacan.

“Hanggang diyan lang „yan. No such thing as hard and fast rules for me. You do what you

want and in return, I‟ll return the favor, exactly the same with the one that you gave me.

And that is my assurance to the nation.” He added.

This remarks from the president came after he formally terminated the peace negotiations between the government and the communists.

Last Thursday, President Duterte has signed Proclamation No. 360 ordering his Peace Adviser and the government negotiators to all stop peace talks with the National Democratic Front – Communist Party of the Philippines – New People’s Army (NDF-CPP-NPA).

“I hereby direct the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP) Panel for Peace Talks with the CPP-NPA-NDF to cancel all peace talks and meetings with the NDF-CPP-NPA,” the Proclamation stated.

President also warned the CPP founder Joma Sison that he will be arrested should he come back to the Philippines.

"If Joma Sison comes here, I will arrest him, or if I were him ‘wag na siyang bumalik ditto”
